Frequently Asked Questions
Browse to any product page and click "Add to Cart." If the product has options (sizes,
colours and so on), choose one first, and set the quantity if you want more than one.
The cart icon in the header shows how many items you have.
Yes. One cart holds products, event tickets and donations together, and you check out
once. Your cart shows each kind in its own section so the order stays easy to read.
Yes, when the organization accepts donations. Look for "Add a Donation" in your cart —
you enter whatever amount you like rather than picking from a fixed list. If the
organization offers it, you can also choose to cover the processing fees so the full
amount reaches them. The donation checks out together with everything else in the cart.
About half an hour of inactivity, then the cart stops being offered back to you.
Nothing is reserved in the meantime — adding an item does not hold it back from
other shoppers, and stock is only committed when you complete checkout. For
limited-stock items, check out promptly rather than leaving the tab open.
If you leave a cart behind and the store has recovery emails switched on, the link
in that email brings the cart back for a few days.
For a short while, yes — come back within about half an hour and it is still there.
Leave it longer than that, clear your cookies, or switch to another browser or
device, and you will be starting again.
Signing in does not carry a cart across devices today, so treat the cart as
belonging to the browser you built it in. If you want to hold on to something for
later, add it to your wishlist instead — that does follow your account.
Open your cart and change the number next to the item. It saves by itself a moment
later and the totals recalculate — there is no separate "update" button to press.
Setting the quantity to 0 removes the item.
Each row in your cart has a remove button, which asks you to confirm before it takes
the item out. Setting the quantity to 0 does the same thing. There is also a "Clear
cart" control if you want to start over.
On the cart page, find "Have a discount code?", type your code and click "Apply." The
order summary updates to show the discount, and an invalid or expired code tells you so.
One code applies at a time — applying another replaces it, and you can remove the
current one to try a different code.
The price is captured when you add an item, so a change afterwards does not quietly
alter what you were quoted. If the price has since dropped, remove the item and add it
again to pick up the new one.
Recently viewed products appear near the bottom of product pages, showing the last
handful of items you looked at in that store. It is a shortcut back to something you
were considering, kept separately for each store you browse.
Only for your current browsing session, and only the most recent few. Closing your
browser, clearing cookies or switching devices resets the list.
Nothing about browsing history follows your account. If you want an item to stick
around, add it to your wishlist — that is the one list that does.
