Character Study has been possessed

Hey Friends,

October is here, and Character Study has gone haunted for the month. Through Halloween, visit us at Scare-acter Study for a special cocktail menu, fresh art from Josh Rhinehart, and the attentions of two Crypt Keepers and a High Alchemist.

Michael's October menu reads like the horror aisle of a really good video store. The Breakfast of Zuul is a cereal-infused rum milk punch (Gozer approves), the Gin Reaper is a sesame and tamari Martini, the Carajillo Creeper brings espresso, vanilla, and candy corn together, and the Slay It As It Lays digs up our Joan Didion tribute with blood orange.

On October 12 and 26, the Reading Party with our friends at Otterpine offers an hour of quiet reading among neighbors, with no assigned books and no pressure to socialize. Bring whatever you're reading, or grab an $8 book off the Bagatelle shelf.

Over at Little Jumbo, the corner is busy all month, including the Page Brothers with Steve Davidowski, the original keyboardist of the Dixie Dregs, on the 12th, and Soul Jazz Revival on Monday, October 19, a sneak peek at the band ringing in New Year's Eve with us. More on that soon.

As always, both bars open at 4:00 p.m. daily, Big Brains Little Jumbo trivia starts Sundays at 6:00, and LJ has free live jazz every Monday and Tuesday from 7:00–10:00. See ya soon!

Cheers, we love you,
–Little Jumbo & Character Study
