Our food truck spot at Little Jumbo is back in action! We're thrilled to welcome Madrona every Monday and Big Mouth Empanadas every Tuesday for a June residency. Chef Sean makes a really incredible burger—the best we've had in many moons—and Big Mouth's empanadas are the perfect pre-jazz fuel. Madrona will be here 5:30–9:30 on June 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29th; Big Mouth on June 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30th!
Speaking of food, over on the west side, Character Study now has a menu of snack offerings from Finest Deli 7 nights per week—come enjoy marinated mushrooms, tomato-garlic confit, or one of our other delicious choices!
Both bars will be closed June 10–11 for our annual staff appreciation party—sorry to miss you, but the whole team will be at the lake drinking a little too much and getting sunburned. Back to regular hours on Friday the 12th!
Lots of folks have also been enjoying our Big Brains Little Jumbo Trivia, beginning at 6:00 on Sunday evenings—come show off some knowledge and win a gift card.
As always, Little Jumbo and Character Study are both open at 4:00 p.m. daily, and LJ has free live jazz every Monday and Tuesday from 7:00–10:00. See ya soon!

Jeff Sipe has spent decades learning how rhythm thinks. Quinn Sternberg knows what bass can hold when you let it breathe. Jay Sanders builds things with six strings that don't quite have names yet. Together as the Blingus Trio, they arrive at Little Jumbo not with a setlist but with a shared willingness to find out what happens next.
